March 2013 - An Act of Service

I was sick in March with a horrible cold. It was really difficult to do what I needed to do in the show and otherwise. I was overwhelmed also because I had just sent in my mission papers....an apparently stressful endeavor for me :) Well, Amy Jo Henderson (Ben Henderson's wife - he plays my husband in the show) sent  me a get well card. Included in the card was a handkerchief that she had sewn for me. She made it so it would look and go with the period of the piece. To  me it looked hand sewn. I couldn't believe it...she had taken the time to make something like that for me because she heard I was sick. I was beyond grateful, and I have taken it with me on stage on a number of occasions. She will never know what that gesture meant to me...small and simple things!
