Moments that Matter Most

Moments that Matter Most

Recently someone told me that I like to create moments. I think that's true. I think moments are important to me...Having Charlie run into my arms with the biggest smile on his face, having girls night out during Priesthood session(with Stashernaeena Salon), watching dad play with mom's hair and cuddle with her, holding bridget for the first time when she was only a few hours old, doing a treasure hunt with Pratt, choreographing with Serena (several months pregnant) and seeing her in her element, doing a treasure hunt with Elijah and watch him help Charlie find the next clue, having mom hold me and tell me that "I still fit",talking on the phone with Nate, Bryce, Brit, Ryan, Meagan, Megan, seeing Tom and Serena on Sunday's and playing games, exchanging cooking recipes, and always calling Janae for directions when I'm lost, and coming home to tell mom and dad my "story of the day". There are many moments that mean a lot to me.

I know that there have been times in my life when I was too busy, too distracted, too troubled, too selfish to see what was right in front of me- a loving family that will always be there for me. Other  things in my life come and go- a show, a boy, friends, and even where I live- but I know that no matter where I go, my family is always there for me. I can do better at being in touch. I need to take the time and invest more in our relationships! I'm sorry I'm not always as present in your lives as I should be. But I do think about all of you, where you are at, and what you are doing.

I think capturing moments and holding onto them is an important part to who we are. We begin to see the eternal perspective and enjoy the little time we have with one another. In a spiritual sense...this is why we go to church, are involved in our church callings, read our scriptures, go to general conference, attend the temple....to place ourselves in a position where moments can be readily available to us. There are moments in my life found in prayer, music, worship, and the peace of the spirit that I don't want to forget!

  1. I like the idea that moments can be created. You don't have to wait for something to happen all the time. You can create your own positive world, even in the darkest of times.

  2. I really liked this video. I like the idea of slowing down on focusing on the things that matter the most. I definately have found that this can be possible and you can still get your work done. And yes stacia, you do create moment; magical, memorable moments that matter.
